Top Ten Fictional Families I’d Eat Thanksgiving Dinner With

5f295-toptentuesday

Now, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is about Thanksgiving. Normally I’d love to list off all the blogging and bookish things I’m thankful for but there’s a very high chance I will be doing it next week…so, Top Ten Fictional Families I’d Eat Thanksgiving Dinner With (FYI, I’m totally just going to these for the food).

THE SARGENTS FROM THE RAVEN BOYS

The food might be odd; with lots of strange herbs and yogurt and awful tea, but it would be a very entertaining Thanksgiving, judging by what you know of the family from the books. Throw in a Lynch, a Gansey, and a Parrish and it’d be good as gold.

THE WEASLEYS FROM HARRY POTTER

Should this even be doubted? Lots and lots of delicious food, magic, and, of course, all of the various Weasleys. It would be fun and most likely exhausting but still fun.

THE SCHREAVES/ SINGERS FROM THE SELECTION

Dinner in a palace. With lots and lots of delicious food. I mean, come on! Remember the strawberry sugar buns of the first book? I’d totally cry for them.

WHAT EVER DORIAN’S LAST NAME IS, WHATEVER CHAOL’S LAST NAME IS, AND WHATEVER AELIN’S LAST NAME IS FROM THRONE OF GLASS.

I actually can’t remember any of their last names. But Thanksgiving dinner in the Glass Palace would be EPIC, so long as there was Dorian AND Chaol and Celaena and not just Dorian’s family. Becuase that would be…awkward.

THE GRIMMS FROM THE SISTERS GRIMM

When I read this series I was always fascinated by the food that was described. Syrup made from marigolds? Black noodles dyed with squid ink? Cheese that tastes like applesauce? I’m curious.

THE FRAYS & LIGHTWOODS FROM MORTAL INSTURMENTS

And Simon, of course. And Magnus. We can’t forget Simon and Magnus. But I’ve always had this theory that Shadowhunters are really good cooks, and I want to confirm my theory.

THE SPIERS FROM SIMON VS THE HOMO SAPIANS AGENDA

I bet they’d be a super fun family to eat Thanksgiving dinner with, what with the whole Facebook Christmas game they play and the chipmunks thing.

KAT, HALE AND THE CREW FROM HEIST SOCIETY

Plus Kat’s entire family. Uncle Eddie sounds like a very good cook plus you get to listen to world-class thieves talking about what paintings they stole and how a family is in jail AGAIN.

THE CREW FROM THE RAMPION CREW FROM THE LUNAR CHRONICLES

I just really want to hang out with them and Thanksgiving sounds like a perfect excuse. Plus, you can bet Wolf would eat like, the entire table all by himself and there’d have to be this huge amount of food so he wouldn’t.

JESS, NICK, CECE, WINSTON, COACH & SCHMIDT FROM NEW GIRL

I know it’s not a book, but their Thanksgivings are always eventful (the whole turkey in a drier thing, also the ghost, and the “let’s go camping and hunt for food!” thing). It would be insanely fun and not much eating would happen and someone would most likely end up in the hospital or set the loft on fire, but it’d be FUN.

So! What are some fictional families you’d like to hang out with on Thanksgiving? Any on my list? What are y’all doing for Thanksgiving?

Happy Tuesday,

BlogSiggie

  1. I would love to have dinner with the Weasleys for sure! I think I would end up with amazing stories if I did dinner with the friends from New Girl too! Great list! 🙂

  2. OMG. I’m just trying to picture what it would be like to eat Thanksgiving dinner with the Weasleys or the Rampion Crew. It’d be quite the experience! Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post + choices! ❤

  3. yESSS I WANT TO EAT WITH THE LIGHTWOODS TOO. Although that would be a very dramatic family I’m thinking. And I’d definitely sign up for the Sargents…although I might not eat anything, per se? But it would be an experience to remember. xD

    1. The Sargents might be the only family on this list where I wouldn’t eat anything. Or if I did, I would be eating yogurt with Blue and not any of the stuff that you’re actually supposed to eat on Thanksgiving.
